The procurement exercise will be the country s second attempt to support large-scale solar and wind. The first 88 MW auction launched last year saw the allocation of just 25.5 MW. Solar secured 13.4 MW at an average price of $0.093/kWh. .- When things are tough all around us, we dream, composers Michael Gordon, David Lang and Julia Wolfe wrote in a letter to potential donors in 1996.
Bang on a Can, the contemporary music organization they had founded a decade before, had recently lost about a fifth of its budget because of massive cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts. But Gordon, Lang and Wolfe were undeterred.

Kyle Jamieson woke up a multi-millionaire this morning, and it s a reality he wants to embrace.
The Black Caps and Auckland pace bowler, who s enjoyed a meteoric rise in international cricket over the last 12 months few ever have, became the highest paid New Zealand player in Indian Premier League history overnight.
In the league s annual auction, Jamieson was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for an eye-watering $2.86 million – the second highest bid of the night – joining a team where former Black Caps coach Mike Hesson is the Head of Cricket Operations.
